  1. This Compact Disc (CD) is compatible with both Macintosh and Windows- 
  2.  
  3. based computers. Video Clips, Web links, and text pages contained on 
  4.  
  5. this  CD are in QuickTime and Adobe Acrobat formats.
  6.  
  7. Adobe Acrobat Reader4.05  for Macintosh is contained within this CD, but must 
  8.  
  9. be configured to work with your systems browser for this CD to be fully 
  10. functional.  
  11.  
  12. Until Acrobat has been configured, you will get an "unable to follow this
  13.  relative link" error 
  14.  
  15. message when trying to access the web-links from within AcrobatReader. 
  16.  
  17. When  Acrobat  opens select File>Preferences>Weblink, then use the browse 
  18.  
  19. button to navigate to your browser, then select the connection type.
  20.  
  21. Acobat seems to work better with Internet Explorer.

  25. Go to your systems help menu, or the  Apple website  for 
  26.  
  27. additional  support on installing new software if needed.

  30. If your computer already has these software components installed  
  31.  
  32. then  you should be able to navigate and utilize this CD fully by using

  34. your  mouse/cursor to click on the active buttons found on each page. 
  35.  
  36. Active buttons are words or graphic icons that will cause the 
  37.  
  38. Mouse/cursor to change from an arrow to a pointing hand when dragged 
  39.  
  40. over  the  active area; clicking on or in this active area will navigate 
  41.  
  42. the  user through the materials on this CD. All of the graphic and text 
  43.  
  44. elements  that could be buttons are visibly obvious, but not all 
  45.  
  46. buttons  are active. Do not expect every possible button to be an 
  47.  
  48. active  area. Only the minimal amount of buttons needed to navigate 
  49.  
  50. this  CD have been made active.

  52. The web-links contained within the text and graphical materials on 
  53.  
  54. this  CD use your computer's browser and require  your computer to 
  55.  
  56. already  be logged onto the internet through an ISP or other network to 
  57.  
  58. connect  to linked websites. If your browser is unable to link to the 
  59.  
  60. website  you've selected, check to be sure you have a good internet 
  61.  
  62. connection.
